Samagra Shisksha Abhiyaan
Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan is a centrally sponsored scheme for education and subsumes the three schemes of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE). The main outcomes of the Scheme are envisaged as Universal Access, Equity and Quality, promoting Vocationalisation of Education and strengthening of Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs).
Special Needs
Special Needs is a wide array of diagnoses, from those that resolve quickly to those that will be challenge for life and those that relatively mild to those that are profound. Children with special needs (CWSN) may have developmental delays, medical conditions, psychiatric conditions, and/or congenital conditions.
Maharashtra has the highest number of Children with Special Needs(CWSN) covered under Samagra Siksha Abhiyaan.
